Gantt Chart

A Gantt chart is a graphical tool that illustrates a project schedule. It is presented as a type of bar chart that shows the start and finish dates of the work breakdown structure of the project including resources and dependencies. It is widely use in the traditional project management but ist use in Agile is very controversial as it is tied with waterfall and neglects the ability to change that is so valuable to Agile. Gantt chart should not be used in Agile development at the project level but they can be used for sprint as they are time-boxed events. They can be useful to track progress during a sprint for experienced development Team (read Teams that can estimate very well).
