The Agile Dictionary

A Niko-Niko Calendar is typically a white board on the wall with a cell for each day and each member of the Team. At the end of the workday, members should draw a graphic evaluation of their mood during the day. This is usually done with emoticons and color codes and allows for three choices : good day, so-so day, bad day. In addition to making Team members recognized and valued, this helps to identify issues. If the same member is not in a good mood, maybe he/she has a roadblock in his/her way and everyone should work toward removing it and make him/her happy again. Definitely a tool to test for any Team and see the results it provides.
